How connect Electribe 2 to Komplete Audio I Interface?

Hi,
I just got a native instruments Komplete Audio I interface. I want to connect my Electribe 2 (synth) to record the audio on the laptop.

My problem is, I only get 1 channel of sound through the audio interface.
It sounds really bad.

I connected the headphone OUT of the Electribe to the interface IN. And I also tried a cable that merges the separate L R outputs from the Electribe into one single jack plug.

How do you guys record audio from the electribe using an Audio Interface??
