All I'm trying to do is turn off the reverb on a preset located/named (INT-F I-F085 Cavernous Toy Pluk). I've gone through every menu, including IFX and MFX and don't see ANYTHING labeled as a reverb. There is a delay, but I toggled that off, and there is still a boatload of reverb on the sound.
Is it even possible to shut the verb off from a built in preset? I don't know why Korg makes their effects editing screens look like something out of a NASA manual. Whatever happened to basic functions like on/off/mix/etc.?
How do I turn off the reverb!?

Thank you for replying. It’s not a combi. I’m on a Kronos 2, not sure if that makes a difference or not. On my TFX screen both TFX1 and TFX2 say “no effect”.GregC wrote:Is Cavernous Toy Pluk a factory Combi/Program ?
I am not finding it on my K.
Anyway, review TFX on that program/combi.
Some sympathy, FX implementation is deep/complex on Kronos.
Kronos has high and long learning curve. If it was my 1st Korg keyboard , I would be baffled for some time.
This is my first real synth. I’ve had it for about a year and can navigate around to find sounds I want, but editing them is way more complicated than it needs to be in my opinion. I’m primarily a guitarist, but I’m used to editing and tweaking patches on my Kemper. I’ve played for 24 years. So to not be able to do something as basic as turn a reverb off, is ridiculous.
I was messing around with the knobs and found that if I turned the “mid frequency release” knob down, that cuts down the reverb. But I found that by luck. It’s not intuitive at all.

Re: How do I turn off the reverb!?
A bit of an old thread, but here goes.
Cavernous Toy Pluk is a Program using the Str-1 Plucked String engine. There is no reverb in the effects chain for this Program.
Control knob 6 influences the Excitation section of the Str-1 engine, and is used to affect the amount of excitation that goes into forming the long tail. effectively making it sound as if the amount of reverb is being altered.
