microKORG MIDI misread?
I'm using a really cheap MIDI-to-USB cable, so I didn't expect smooth operation from the get-go, but the current situation is rather ridiculous. In sibelius, random notes give only a super-high-pitched chime, while everything else works normally on note-on, but plays a middle E instead of note-off. Also, in ableton live 10 lite, it doesn't read the note-off at all, and the pitch bend signal registers as some other weird effect.

Hi,
Do I understand it correctly that you use Sibelius or Ableton to transmit notes/control changes from your PC to the microKorg and that it looks like events are not arriving properly at the microKorg?
Are you playing a complex piece? (High rate of notes and other control changes?)
Do you have another synth to try the same experiment? Just to rule out the cable or the mK.
The cheap USB-MIDI cable is of course the first candidate for the root cause...
Good luck.
