Full factory restore on latest filmware and Original Kronos

I have an issue with karma sounding corrupt and tried resolving with no success. The issue is detailed in another post on this forum.

I did try reloading factory - preload.pcg file but issue still exists.

This post is simply a query on me doing the full reinstall from the DVD discs Including formating etc.

My question is because I have original Korg but with the latest filmware may this cause any complications? I’m thinking filmware isn’t held on the SSD.
