Help Please!!! Oscillator 1 sometimes doesn't sound...

Post by Grokaknock »

Just got a Prologue 16 and about an hour into playing around with it I noticed something didn't sound consistent. So I initialized a preset and started from scratch. Turns out Osc 1 isn't sounding every time I press a key. Sometimes it just emits a dull sounding thump instead and the scope shows a flat line when this happens instead of the waveform. No wonder my chords sounded inconsistent. It seems to happen randomly, unlike my Rev2 8 voice when it had issues like this. Every 5th note would sound different until I calibrated the oscillators and filter. After calibration the Rev2 works perfectly.

So has anyone else experienced this on a Prologue? Is there even a way to calibrate the oscillators? I couldn't find anything in the manual or online.

I have already updated the firmware to (1.10) as well as the Panel (1.03) and Voices (1.01) Serial Number is 000052.

Thanks for any help. Trying to avoid sending it back.

Sorry to hear that.
It sounds like one of the 16 voices dont work correctly.
I dont have that problem on mine, but I can hear that some voice has a little bit more dull tone than the others.

As far as I know, the only thing we can calibrate is tuning the oscillators.
