or is there a way to have a damper pedal for each side?
thanks

Seems that even in program mode, the split and layer function is a function of Combi mode.
I see at the bottom of the split and layer pages "Write Combination". If it saves/writes as a combintation, it must be a function of combi mode.
So you will have to have your split setup in a combi mode slot and open it in combi mode for the full range of Timbre Parameters and Midi filters.
You want the "Midi Filter/Zone" tab at the bottom of your combi Main page.
Look at the midi filters ,and i think that Damper setup is on the midi-filter Tab-page 1. That lets you enable or disable damper for each timbre used in a layer or split.
"Quick" is the operative term in quick layer and quick split. It gives you quick and easier access to setting up the very basics a layer or split while auditioning sounds individually. Seems to be more of a way to make auditioning sounds go quicker and easier.
Once you go past a "quick" pairing of two programs, you are in combi mode territory where you have all the details to sort out all kinds of possibilites, although not so quickly.
The only midi filter disabled when i wrote a quick split to Combination, was the Damper. All other midi filters were enabled. Makes sense though from the split point of view that the bottom bass-line section is damper disabled while the main program is not.
Try the same on "Quick layer" page and both programs are damper enabled.
Anyway, midi filter setup just isnt a part of "quick" setups intended for quick layer and quick splits.
