No audio-in on laptop

Post by byllsong »

I was told I could come from the line-out on the Kross and go into the line-in on my laptop, and hear myself thru headphones.
But, my laptop has no line-in jacks.
Will the usb-out on the Kross going into the laptop usb do the same thing.
I want to hear the Kross thru the laptop.
Am I making sense?
Thanks,
Billy

Some laptops use a common 1/8" stereo jack for headphones out, line-out, or line-in but, unfortunately, not in and out at the same time. It would be a recipe for feedback. The laptop manuals rarely make it clear to the user what the precise setup it, although there will be clues in the audio settings available to the user.

The Kross only allows MIDI via USB as there is no audio codec in the Kross' USB path.

The solution is to get an external USB sound "card" device with stereo audio line-in and line-out.
