Kaoss pad / kaossilator model suggestions, please
Hi,
after having aquired more korg gear (again!) I'm really starting to get a "fanboi" vibe to korg products lately. They are affordably priced and almost always offer a good bang-for-the-buck ratio, and most importantly, they sound decent.
So now, having bought an es2, I am starting to realize that a completely battery powered live pa rig can be built with just korg gear. The final missing piece in my puzzle is a mic preamplifier with fx.
TL;DR - kaoss gurus, recommend me a model of a kaoss product that:
- runs on batteries
- has a mic input (and enough gain to drive an SM58)
- has decent vocal fx (platey reverb, tapeish delay, FSU/glitch fx are plus)
- a characterful sound is better than "neutral", but this is not a big deal
Much obliged for any suggestions!

They are poor buddy, being two AAs instead of 4 on v1.
An hour or two,not too sure, maybe better. It does depend on how often its pressed and accessed as the screen has sleep mode.
Problem with saving/recording to sd as when battery signal is "low" it can't save to card.
I've had a suggestion of a portable USB battery power pack (like rav power)with kp2 cable ,but I have to solder a USB to kp2 cable.
The mini is worth it imo ,the effects are really good.Saying that, the original mini is great too and I use two of them in my studio set up.Battery life better too.

perhaps we should ask this ripcord USB power cable manufacturer to make one for the KP?

Update on my last post about battery life..
Not as bad as my first post. After more use I get better battery life time than first thought . With high grade AAs I get ok time with a few days of moderate use , so over 2 good hours.SD card stops near end if life due to low battery .
I did ask ripcord for a mini KP /KO cable.
