better doc for volca sample?

Post by bigtiny »

Hi all,

Just got a volca sample and having a hard time learning to use it. The Korg 'manual' is just a picture of the panel with brief explanation of the keys.

Anything out there that talks about the architecture of the box? Maybe some simple examples: record a basic seq? change voices? how the machine is logically laid out?

I see the labels on the front panel, but I can't make sense out of what the machine is doing. For instance, I loaded a custom sample and sent to to location 90, which I assume should be sample 5090. I see the sample load, but when I select sample 5090 and hit the buttons I can't hear my sample anywhere....

Anyway, if anybody knows of an articale or book or something, I'd appreciate a pointer....

Thanks,

bigtiny

Just Type "Volca Sample Tutorial" into YouTube....
It's a really simple but powerful little box in the right hands, don't be afraid to fiddle with it, I found sample 99 "Doncamatic" a really useful one to mess with while I was working out what was what!....
Enjoy!
Loving My First Electribe!!!
