Kaossilator Pro+ Mic Input Too Hot for Bass

Post by Duuuuuuuuuude2 »

Hi,

I'm brand new here. I'm running my bass into the 1/4" mic input on the front but no matter what I do, the level is too hot. I have the trim turned down to 0 but it still distorts. What can I do to fix this?

Don't use the Mic input, use line.Mic amplifies the signal ,intended for mics ,which run low current.
Unfortunately you will need a preamp to raise gain of an instrument signal to line, or just try the line with appropriate connector, but may have issues.Instruments and line are different again.
A small mixer could help ,by boosting your bass signal .Or a preamp or effects unit with instrument in,line out.
