What is your problem here? (Sorry that sounds rude - was just a polite & serious question)

Is it that you don't have a floppy diskette drive?
Your diskette drive is not working?
Is it that the ".exe" files you downloaded do not create the diskettes?

(check the instructions here and the included Korg PDF instructions http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=56547 )

Please explain so we can help

I have all the files from Korg and can make them available to you if you need them.

Firstly, I would download the files again in case there was a download issue which caused some corruption.
Secondly I would format and use different diskettes.

I would be surprised if the downloads are actually invalid on the Korg website - hey, but who knows these days!!!!

So let me know if you want a copy of mine and I'll make them available.

Cheers

Pete :D

P.S. Just confirming that you are creating the diskettes by running the 4 downloaded programs
(A common mistake was that some people were simply copying the files to the diskettes)

OK - please confirm:-

1. You used a different set of pre formatted diskettes
2. you re-downloaded the the update files
3. Diskettes 1 & 2 are OK
4. The problem is still with diskette #3
5. Does diskette #4 write OK?

I can send you a copy of the downloads that I know are working for me - please answer ALL my questions and so that I can help you sort it out.

Cheers

OK

Here are my OS 3.0.1 diskette creation programs as downloaded from Korg a few years ago - these definitely work on my PC
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5RyH ... XNFQmN6bW8
(To download the zip file click on the little "down-arrow" icon at the top of the webpage)

If you get the same problems then I think your diskette drive may be faulty in which case you could perform a head clean (if you have a head cleaner kit) or try create the diskettes on a different floppy drive - a friend's PC perhaps?
Be careful:- If the diskette drive is faulty the heads may be damaging every diskette you put into it (hopefully not!!!).

Let me know how you go.

Cheers

I have a second problem and i think i will solve that problem when i reload OS. When i play karaoke or MIDI files keyboard pull sounds from set not from factory and when i change a set i cant play karaoke and MIDI file.
Do you now how to solve that problem?
I hope that you understand me.

So did you manage to get the diskettes created this time?

Re Second problem:- This mayl be a MIDI file issue - if each track does not select the correct GM bank of sounds then it may well select sounds from other banks like specific PA800 factory sounds.

Anyhow it seems like your priority is to get the OS and musical resources re-installed first.

Let us know how that goes
