Free shipping. Set them up as room monitors in my home studio. Have made no adjustments at all. Not in the ideal position but if I stand up at the mixer they are almost right at the sweet spot.
They are quite heavy. Come with foam for vibration suppressing.
Sound fine to me. I have some other monitors - also 8".
These Akai ones have several rear switches to adjust for room conditions. Have not tried those yet. Probably should soon.
They are bi-amped. 80 W to Low frequency 40 W to Hi Freq
As I wrote before they do sound good. Nice bass level and presence.
I've used balanced cables. They have unbalanced RCA inputs as well. XLR or 1/4" balanced inputs.
For $200 I have absolutely no complaints.
