Volca Keys in DAW with midi sync strange beeping noise

Post by Pedr »

I have my volca keys connected up to my audio interface via a 3.5mm jack and a midi cable.

Once i set up the midi sync from logic to the Volca keys and press play it makes a strange beeping sound different to anything I may have saved in the volca's memory, now even if I press pause in logic and pause on the volca the sound still persists.

I can adjust how frequent the beep is by adjusting the rate knob and its cutoff on the volca but when i play anything it sounds completely different to this beep and it interferes with anything I've got saved.

I have no problem when I start up the volca and press play without the midi cable connected but obviously I want it for the sync. I've tried the factory reset on the volca but still the problem persists. Anyone got an idea to why this is?

Silly question perhaps, but do you have the metronome enabled? The on/off setting is saved with each sequence. Select the sequence you want to use, switch off the metronome and save it again.
