Can PCG Tools help me do this?

Post by Ricky_jcr »

Shout out to MK! :)

So I have a concert coming up in two weeks, and I playing a very patch-heavy song, one that has instantaneous program and combi changes. Which is why I wanted to know whether there was a way I could move my sounds (mostly Combis) in order.

Basically, what I want to use is a footswitch, but the problem is, it can only +1 or -1 the selected value, right? So I want to get all my patches one after another in a selected bank. But there is no way to cut/paste combis on the Krome, and I was wondering whether PCG Tools could help me do that.

Would really really love some help on this, otherwise I'd have to start building my sound banks from scratch :(

Thanks in advance,
Ricky

Normally it is easier to post in a PCG Tools thread, because I automatically get notifications, but mostly I will notice messages here too, but a bit later.

With PCG Tools it is really easy to move combis. Just open the PCG file, and use the Move Up/Down button or the keys (numeric 8 or 2). You also can sort them alphabetically if you want.

You can only go into one direction by footswitch, but you could double a patch (meaning copy/paste it to multiple locations if needed).

By downloading the manual some examples about copy/pasting are shown. BUt if you make a backup before (always do that) in case of a problem you can always revert to the original PCG file.

I followed your advice to the letter. This is an absolutely smashing software! :D

It let me do everything I wanted other than having duplicate patches in the same memory bank, which isn't really an issue.

Do let me know how/if I can donate for the development of this amazing tool.
Can't wait to check out what else it can help me do.
Thanks,
Ricky

Hello Ricky, thanks for the compliment. In the help menu (about), there is a donate button (via Paypal). There is also a Donate button on the website: http://pcgtools.mkspace.nl/download.php

Hope you also like all other features.
