Some of these look really cool! As a Genesis/Tony Banks fan, I'm looking forward to hearing some samples of the Arp Pro-Soloist sounds.

Dear KRONOS user,

I'd like to differ from the KARO "OASYS" - "KRONOS" libraries discuss in more detail!

Here advantage from the KRONOS librararies over the OASYS libraries!

1. All KRONOS EXs libs are streaming now!

2. Most samples are longer than the OASYS version, thus also longer loops!

3. An example: KARO KSL, KUO, KST have all stereo samples and now you can find this also in mono!

4. By streaming it is now also possible to use much more Sample material. We used this! Thus all EXs libs has substantially more Sample material!

5. Each program and each combi have now a drumtrack!

6. The KRONOS lbraries has also more Programs and Combis than before!

7. KRONOS libs have a copy protection!

8. The libraries will be cheaper than the OASYS libraries 8)

I hope, now am clarified some discrepancies...

Information about the different libraries you can find on our webpage...
Soon more

is NOT cool. And not a great way to treat your OASYS customers.

I think he means the libraries will be cheaper than the OASYS libraries of the past. AFAIK, they were quite expensive! I don't think they're intentionally punishing OASYS users.

I will say I hope they keep the prices low and go for volume over per unit profit. Otherwise they'll screw the pooch IMO. I mean if say a dozen libraries end up the cost of a new Kronos 88, makes me want to wait til winter NAMM and see what other keyboards are being released. I know this stuff takes time and money to make, just sayin!

They need to see this from two angles: 1st they're competing with any other VST out there for home studio guys and there are bound to be cheaper alternatives that are just as good, or better for the same money in that situation. For them they don't HAVE to get these sounds from their Kronos. That said, the real appeal here IMO is to the guys that gig who don't want to run VST's on a laptop/racked pc to have this quality of sounds. I would guess MOST guys bring home $100 or so per gig, unless you're doing a lot of private work. I'd say the mind set financially is a bit different from Kronos owners vs. OA$Y$ owners. Almost certainly less disposable income and I hope they've kept that in mind!

The only thing I'll add: I'm really surprised there are NO demos of these on their website. You'd think they' have some to start us drooling and budgeting to afford the libraries.

I understand your frustration, or perhaps I don't. But one has nothing to do with the other.

Prices go down after a while. It's the same for everything. Kronos being cheaper than the O, it's only normal libraries follow the same path.

Just a general question regarding regarding the expansion packs: Which 'demos' does follow with 1.5? Ricky lawson drums? anything else? The Stringlibrary from korg? Or any of the KRS libraries?
I guess the Karo demos comes later but what about the above Korg stuff? I'm looking forward to get to try them out if they are a interesting purchase.
