Post by oasys76 »

Heya,

thank's Korg for the 1.5 update, but when are the string sounds from Karo available?

Cheers, Kevin

You have made 96 posts on KORG Forums and 64 of them are about KARO. I’m starting to get worried about you. You seem obsessed.
Either that or you work for them

I'm not suggesting oasys76 is doing this, but your post Sharp reminded me of all the emails I get now offering exactly THAT kind of service...

It is now not uncommon for businesses to pay a few hundred bucks and staff in (typically) China or India will go out and do some social engineering on their behalf ... positive forums posts in their favour, discrediting any negative posts about them. It's a bit worrying really, but I suppose that kind of thing has existed forever, just now it is taking a digital form.

Cheers.

I doubt whether you have a slightest clue as to how businesses are structured and run. I have MANY colleagues in China and India and they do not have the bandwidth to bullshit. If you have seen people doing that around you, let us know where you are from and I will send a few hundred bucks to your neighbour (if not your wife) to do that for my business

Conclusion - avoid such posts

I'll send you a copy of the next email I am sent, and also perhaps the next article about how such practices are taking off. Or better yet, Google it yourself or get a life and read some news.
I do have a clue. I lived in China for 6 years and I regularly import Chinese goods and deal with Chinese merchants...bandwidth of that level is not a problem so you're sadly misinformed. I do not spontaneous write bullshit.
And excuse me, but WHAT THE f*ck do you mean about my wife?

My post was not on-topic, but it was making some casual conversation, not beyond what normally happens here. Yours was rude, presumptuous and needlessly aggressive . I did not think such dickheads roamed these Korg forums...obviously they do.

Not anymore.
That was totally uncalled for. He's been involved in enough conflict to be banned long ago, but his last comment pushed things right over the edge.

Now banned.

Well to bad for me Inwould have glady taken a few hundred bucks a month to do some positive social networking for him, he could have used it and a few hundred bucks ain't anything to toss away! Heck even my wife would have posted for him from home and been happy with the cash! And saved me some cash in the process! But yes his posts did seem rude. I like this thread it has given me a few money making ideas!

Have to be honest, I'm interested in the Karo mellotron sounds. Sharp, thanks for taking care of the "guest". There is no reason for folks to post rude or ignorant political remarks. This is a music forum and you do a great job of keeping it rolling smoothly. :)

hello oasys76. l emailed Germany about the Karo sound libraries for the korg kronos and this is what they stated.

Hi Robert,

Korg is working on the copy protection... I hope very soon.

Best regards,

Kurt.

So the sound libraries are ready but korg is working on the copy protection so we will have to wait until korg are ready to release it

Hope this helps.

Cheers Robert :P

Aha - thanks doogler63

You've just solved a puzzle for me - and nothing to do with the Kronos libraries!

This now explains why Karo has taken the OASYS libraries offline. There is no copy protection on their OASYS libraries, but now that they're with Korg, they have to have it.

Given that the Kronos can import OASYS libraries, that's why Karo have taken them offline...

All makes sense now!
