It should. That's what's holding the Kronos back from advancement. a 64 bit system would be a lot more powerful and open the Kronos us to newer developments on par with the current technology being used in music production today.

Re: KRONOS Relaunched!
The thing is the K2 was discontinued because they lacked the old hardware even just for repairs. They probably already had the cheaper Nautilus ready so it was released as the new top board well knowing it would probably not be going well to the pro's that needed to be able to replace their old boards if it broke down that was 100% compatible. I bet that Corona and the chip shortage made the reason for the years it took to ensure hardware stock enough for a new hardware for a revised K3. Still beyond me why they didn't use the time to make the software 64 bit and actually boost the performance of the system hardwares much newer capabilities. Nearly even a pi 4 could probably run the Kronos software today.
The fact is even the basis of the underlying Oasys system is more than 30 years old now it still does over 100% more stuff than any of the competitors and still is the king in sample streaming even compared with top Kontakt systems running on PC's and MAC's that is eons faster than the Atom cpu, ddr3 and sata ssd's in the Kronos 2. They still have the best Workstation ever created even they did practically no upgrades to what's sounds is inside. just added some *best of* of various 3'rd party sounds an a LE version of the Italian grand. Only thing that is new is the new early tine sound in the EP engine. And the Pro's will love that they have a new Kronos that doesn't take a 4 min break if it should loose power or get hung. Not even going to bet on whether or not Korg even gonna make a new actually vastly upgraded Workstation in 4-8 years when the K3 hardware runs out
