pa5x going nuts and freezing after pressing ensemble after os 1.4 install( on youtube)

has anyone else had the same problem as the guy on youtube with the PA5x on OS1.4 freezing and flashing all its lights after he presses the ensemble button? looks like 1.4 might need some TLC.
