Experiences with Ketron EVM ?

Post by F-Minor »

Hi all,
I’ve seen some interesting YT demos of the Ketron EVM.
Any experiences and opinions here from people who have one connected to their PA5X ?

Thanks!

I don't have experience with it; but I want one. Just can't justify the price right now; too many hobbies.

I have a friend who owns one. Does not like it due to a screen interface. More difficult to navigate…
Prefers the Event X, real knobs and sliders.

Thanks, interesting !!
I also have doubts about the screen interface.
And I also find the price on the (too) high side.

Mm. I hope to be able to try it out sometime.

10 times better than Korg on everything except for one feature which is the assignable buttons and Y+/Y-. Aside from that they kick Korg to the curb on everything. I'm done standing up for company that has their head so far up their extremities that they are high on methane.

Wow, 10 times better and I’m already very happy with my PA5X. :D
Now I definitely want to try one. 8)

I think I should start saving.

I’ve checked the Ketron website, but couldn’t find any sound demo of the EVM.
Strange…. for an expensive module.
Any suggestions?
Maybe I will go to see / hear the EVM at a shop one day, but first I want to investigate a little more if it’s worth the effort.
Some sound demos of the pianos, string sounds, synths and pads would be helpful.

The styles I’ve heard on YT sound quite nice, but I find it difficult to get a good idea of the quality of the individual sounds.

The Styles, Sounds and the UI is Exactly the same as the Event demos, so if you can hear those for the Event, that is what you will get with the EVM (which is the brain of the Event).
Works great with the Pa-5X and the Genos2!
