Hi
I have only had the nautilus 88 AT a week and struggling with a few things.
How do you change a drum kit in combi mode? (Its possible with program editing but not combi editing it appears.)
I have watched the video manual a couple of times and made notes, and tried to work it out for the online manual but getting nowhere fast.
Thanks for any thoughts
michael

Re: How do you change a drum kit in combi mode?
On the combination mixer page (the main one), highlight the program you want to work on. From the dropdown menu, select EDIT PROGRAM. Go to the OSC/PITCH page and touch the drum kit. You can use the rotary knob to scroll through kits, or you can tap the arrow to the left of the kit to see the other kits.
This method is for those who want to hear the drums in context with the rest of the combi sounds and effects. Once you find a kit that you like, WRITE the program, but I would change the name (or simply add a "2" to it) then write it to a different program slot. That way you don't lose the original program, which may be used in other combis or programs.
Make a mental note of where you save the new program to. Go back to the combi mixer page and put that new program into the old one's place. To make the change permanent, WRITE the combi. Again, I would put save that combi in a new combi slot. There are a bunch of empty ones, so you can make a bank of combis that you modify. Finally, go to DISK mode and SAVE a PCG to your hard drive. I usually save my programs with a date, such as "Mike0525." In fact, I save my sequences and programs (SEQ/PCG) with every single project so that I always have the correct sounds.
If you ever over-write or lose programs, the originals can be re-loaded from your FACTORY folder on the hard disk.
