It's a pretty substantial update. AKAI have been great at supporting the MPC line over the years.

I'd like to try it but, I sold my MPC X Studio a while back. Maybe that was a mistake, I'm not sure.

Some of these updates are enough to make me want to give the new MPC series a try, especially since they now do a keyboard version. I really couldn’t grok the previous version MPCs and found it hard to be inspired by them due to some of their missing features and iduiosynchrasies. At the time their virtual instruments also didn’t sound great, but I believe that’s improved too.

I really need something to replace my ageing and unsupported Kronos, and it looks like Korg has left the game. I just can’t get inspired by PC based setups either.
