Help! Headphone Noise

Post by SeedyLee »

Hi Microkorg fam,

I've got a two-year old Microkorg which I love to bits. Whilst playing around with it last night with a good pair of headphones, I noticed that, at 3/4 - maximum volume, there is some digital noise in the headphone output that seems to be linked to the LED display. When there LED display flashes, for example, when adjusting a parameter, the noise comes and goes.

It's not significant, but I've never noticed it before and I'm worried that maybe there's an issue with a filtering cap or the power supply.

Is this normal on anyone else's unit? As I say, it's not super loud, but it is noticeable in the background when not playing.

Thanks!

Lee
