roland GR-55 guitar processor to control PAx5 voice

I'm not a great piano player. I would like to use my midi guitar with a Roland GR-55 to control the PA 5x voices/sounds. Has anyone done this. I did check the manual and there is plenty there to guide me, but - no joy.
