Electribe Sampler 2 - Live setup

Post by FunnyLemon »

Hello everyone.

I've yet to aquire an Electribe sampler 2. After looking at the Octatrack (out of my budget) and a digitakt. The sampler 2 looks to be the most affordable and seems to be able to be more open.

I'm working on a live fairly basic live setup. See below my current plan. Bear in mind I'm coming from someone who's mainly worked with audio in a DAW mainly. Very little MIDI.

So the sampler will be able to recieve midi from my two synths. For example I'll play something on synth 1 and get the sampler to record that midi, then I get the sampler to loop it. Then I'll play something on synth 2 and record the midi on the sampler and play that over the top of synth 1. All playing at the same time, and lastly I'll want to play some pre-loaded samples on the sampler using my midi keyboard. All of these will be played together.

The manual hints at doing something like this but they only describe it for one piece of gear. Is there a way to recieve and record different midi channels on the sampler?

Is the above plan possible?

Thanks for any help.

Hello.. Yes, you can sequence your MIDI gear with the Electribe or Electribe Sampler. I recorded a demo sequencing a Yamaha PSR-41 with the ES2, on Instagram:
