Hello,
I've tried to connect the Korg PadKontrol to the microstation, to play beats-sounds on board of the microstation with the pads of the PadKontrol.
I've connected a single midi cable to the 'midi out' of the padkontrol en to the 'midi in' of the microstation.
But I don't hear anything when I push the pads.
I've already tried:
- to change the midi channel of 1 pad to various channels. It didn't help (but maybe because I did it with only one pad, in 1 'scene'?)
- to search for midi settings in the microstation, but I don't see relevant midi settings in the microstation. I did see something about 'external setup', but then a list appeared with a lot of gear (like the microkorg, minimogue, even FL studio etc), but not the padKontrol.
Does anyone know how I can manage this?
It shouldn't be to hard right? Both Korg devices, both midi compatible!

external setup works upside down - Microstation controls the machyne. This does not affect it.

Ir works in both directions. See page 14, "Controlling microSTATION’s tonearpegiator1 wrote:external setup works upside down - Microstation controls the machyne. This does not affect it.

generator from an external MIDI device" -- it should work to do what the OP wants, as long as the pad is sends--on the appropriate channel--a MIDI instruction that corresponds to the desired function. For drum sounds, my guess is that you'd probably load a drum sound into a combi, probably asisgn it to channel 10 (the typical channel for drum parts), and then set the pads to trigger the notes that correspond to the desired drum sounds on channel 10.
