Nanokey replacement

Post by meshica7 »

Hello folks..new here and new to Korg
I recently received some Korg Nano series controllers as a gift (Nanokey, Nanopad, and Kontrol). They all work great.
One of the black keys came off of the Nanokey..I still have it, but for the life of me I can't figure how to reattach it. Perhaps it is missing a piece?
I have been trying to post a pic here..but have not had any luck so I linked to the image itself.

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

There is a similar type of mechanism on some computer keyboards, used for the space bar. They are a pain to refit! It also looks like there is a part missing; there should be a circular conductive rubber piece in the centre of the key. It might be worth very carefully removing an adjacent key, a) to see what the missing contact part looks like and b) how the adjacent key was fitted.
