PA4X Midi files loose quarter tones

Post by otavangar »

I have made a MIDI of a song I am trying to record, and must use my computer for some editing. MIDI file sounds perfect in the keyboard but when being played by my computer, everything sounds perfect except MIDI files looses the quartertones. Does Anybody know how this can be accomplished?

Quarter tone is achieved from your playback device/software.

Thank you so much for your response. To make sure I understand:

The midi file made by Pa4x contains the information on quarter tones that a midi player (A program on my desktop) would need to play the notes. Is this not correct?

If the above is correct, I was wondering if there is a midi player in existence that has such capabilities?

Thanks, and be well

It's likely the GM Soundfont on your computer that is the problem. Perhaps the instrument trying to play the quarter tones has too slow of of an attack.
