Getting styles from a Pa4x, down to Pa1000 and Pa700 and the other way, up from Pa700, Pa1000, and Pa4x ?? We see posts here that say yes all are compatible then others that are not so sure. Can we put this issue to bed once and for all please.
And then moving on to see exactly how Pa Manager, which I am interested in, can help or simplify the above. Or can we move between Pa4X, 1000 and 700 without Pa Manager ??
Thanks
Sharing styles between PA4X,PA1000,PA700

Usually newer models are not compatible with older models. Newer models can load older sets but not vice versa. This is even more apparent when set contains custom samples. Even different Os versions have compatibility issues within sets. I don't think there is a correct or an official way to do that.
Each style will need to be exported manually and propably will need editing and tweaking externally on a DAW. Sound/Samples and resources will need to be exported as well and converted individually. All of that will after need to be loaded back and recreate each style individually.
That's when an external editor such as KPM comes in handy which in this case will convert automatically newer set/styles/sound/samples etc to older models. My self at least I have not found a faster way to achieve this.
