Is it possible to sumulate an octave key in pa4x?

Post by shqip »

Hi all,

I am looking into info on possibility of having a button or foot controller act as an octave key on press on the pa4x.
I k ow there is the + and - keys for lowering and raising the octave on the keyboard. But i want to do this quickly on press and switch back to default octave on relese to simulate a similar feel to a clarinet or saxophone octave key press.
I do nkt see an option in the assignable controller list for this but maybe i am missi g something.

Any help?

Thank you!

Hi Shqip

You can do what you want in a huge number of different ways.

One way is simply have an external MIDI box that generates the note data and velocity you want to play, when triggered by a footswitch or keypress. I was always impressed by AKAI midi note controllers which start at about 100 euros.

Best regards,
Rob
