Wave Drum Global Power Question?

Post by Flux Cobalt »

I am wondering if the Wave Drum can be powered by a power pack? I have a power pack for my guitar pedals which also has a reverse polarity cable. I looked on the original power adapter and the center is negative. I think it would work but has anyone ever tried it?

Thanks for any input.

I have powered other instrument electronics with portable power supplies and as long as the voltage, capacity of the source (amp draw) and polarity is correct it works....until the battery runs out 3/4 of the way into that epic solo in front of a sold out arena.
There is some good info by WaterDrum on the forum topic "Powerbank to Wavedrum, wallwarts for sale" regarding amp draw and polarity.
Best of luck

I've done such things not for the Wavedrum specifically, but for a portable kit for a keyboard and bass amp that was able to keep up with a marching band: https://technoinfo.blogspot.com/2015/08 ... wered.html.
