Korg Triton pitch bend knob keeps self activating

Post by Brysonpricemusic »

Yesterday, I turned my keyboard on for the first time in a month and realized that the pitch bend pad kept activating while I was playing. When I would touch the pitch bend pad with my hand to activate it, it would go back to normal. Does anyone know why this is happening?

It sounds like a hardware problem. But you might try running low-level diagnostic test routines on the chance that might fix it by recalibrating the pitch bend analog-to-digital zero/low/high range. Save all your data first before running. The full diagnostic test suite is accessed by pressing ENTER+5 during power up. It did seem to fix an entire keyboard failure I once experienced. Use with caution though - it's intended for use by Korg support technicians not end-users.

Thank you for your response! It's been a while since I've logged in so I didn't see your response until now..I'm not experiencing this problem anymore, but I think it had to do with Ableton. I'm not able to get the pitch bend to work properly with Ableton. I'm currently reaching out to tech support : )

Looks like you're in Dallas also! I live in Carrollton : )

Yes indeed - we are metroplex neighbors! I was a little disappointed to miss out on most of the snow yesterday. I only got a couple of big wet flakes. I was in kind of an eye of the storm I think. Fortunately temps stayed high enough to avoid any icing - we don't do well with ice on the roads!

I hope Ableton works with you and you get your pitch been issue resolved soon.

Haha yes I remember that day; we got a little bit of snow, but nothing crazy

Thank you man 🙏🏼 I’m currently sorting it out with Ableton support 😁
