I would put it inside of a sequencer , check the midi file the drum track make sure it's on track 10 make sure the base is on track 9 and so on,, if the song is short I wouldn double it up make it longer,to short of a song will not work , if you only had 4 measures of a song I would make it longer,, make 40 or 60 bars long ,,, this might work ...

Songs with very little chord structure in it are difficult for it to do.

I don't see why not you should be able to use the sequencer inside the keyboard and add more measures of that same song ,,

i use cakewalk or sonar or any DAW
you just need to Cut Copy and paste can make it longer...
This work for me 75% of the time I did it,,

let us all know how it works out ..

MIDI file not fit for conversion? I do not understand...

Are you trying to convert a MIDI sequence into a Style with the Style Converter Bot? If so, I have found that the Style Converter Bot is kind of 'hit or miss', at best. Out of hundreds of MIDI files that I have tried to convert, only about 3 of them are actually something I can work with.

Are you trying to load a MIDI file into the sequencer and you a get a message that it is not compatible?

Normally, you should be able to load/create a sequence and it saves as a MIDI file. You should be able to load it into the Style Converter Bot after saving it as a MIDI file.

I am not sure exactly how Korg determines what part of a MIDI file get turned into the different parts of a style. Like I said, in my experience, it is 'hit or miss'.

midi not fit for conversion

Post by mazydazydinah »

hi harry, when you use style bot, it sometimes comes up with. style not fit for conversion. I wanted to know how to change this midi so it can be used by style Bot. I have had quite a few good styles with a bit of tweaking using this method . :D

This is a long shot answer. But is the midi file saved as Format “0” or “1”?
Load the midi in DAW and save into another format. Try to see if that helps...
If you are editing a style, for example, importing a Midi drum loop, it Must be Midi format “0”.
Not sure if this is is true with midi convert to style?
