Volca Drum complete freeze during slice edit

Post by mcandre »

Hi, I was jamming on my new Volca Drum, practicing editing slices, when the device completely locked up. It wouldn't even respond to the POWER BUTTON.

I ended up dropping the kit and program that I had been working on. Took the batteries out, that finally got the Volca Drum working again. Anyone else getting this glitch?

I'm using Volca Drum firmware version 1.14.

I've not had the same issue, but I'll have a go at trying replicate it.
On a side note, is there any way you can resize your image to something more forum friendly, say 800x600 ish and use that? It blows out of the browser in its current dimensions.
Stuff I'm using: Umm right now, well there's a Volca Drum, a Micro Freak, an ADX-1, a Pulse, a Blofeld, a UNO Drum, KeyStep/Beatstep Pro/Keystep Pro (one of each), a Circuit, a LiveTrak L-12 and this nonsense: The Brief-case as it was about a bit over a year ago (the the complete ridiculous GAS monster collection here)and here

I have had exactly this same issue, a few times now. Just did a firmware update. It's a great little box, most people rank it best Volca ever. But my Beats/Keys/Bass/Sample never froze up once. Shame because I'm starting to get the hang of it & really enjoying it but this is kind of a deal breaker if I can't depend on it

... the forums should apply basic CSS image dimension caps to prevent this from happening.
