Question on chords in sequencer

Post by RC »

I don't know if this was covered before but here goes. When using quick record in the sequencer it covers all 16 tracks. The chords are also in the recording. If a mistake is made by inserting a wrong chord, how does one edit that chord and insert the correct chord? As I see there is no separate channel listed for chords. This has puzzled me with both the 3x and 4x. The only way I can think off is go back and quick record the entire song. Any help would be appreciated. I hope everyone can understand what I mean.

I've been struggling with this too.. As far as I discovered the only way to edit chords afterwards is in the step record. You can scroll through events (and it's chords) and position, chords and style variation is displayed then..
Unfortunately you can't hear anything in this mode so it takes some prepareration on which events to edit. I'm trying find a work-around on this too.. and I think the only way is write chords and bars down on a piece paper.

For the quick record I'm afraid there isn't any option to do another take (at a different songposition than bar 1) once you stopped recording. I'm desperately seeking for an option but didn't find it yet..

Hi,
I think, evrything works, as you like it.
Just try this:
Record your song in "Quick record"
Stop recording with the STOP Button in Player1
Press RECORD again and then choose STEP Recording
Now you can edit measurewise evrything, chords, variations, even the styles can be changed on each measure.
At least save in sequencer mode

That's what you want!
PA4X can do it

Another tip for getting the chords right is to slow the arranger WAY down while inputting them. You can always speed it back up later...!
