Where to source a replacement volume pot for the MicroKorg

Post by AnalogueRock »

Hi

I've recently picked up a second hand MicroKorg (yeah... I know!) and the Master Volume pot is so crackly it's rendering the unit almost unusable. Aside from that the synth is fine so it'd be great if I can fix it.

Solidering a replacement pot isn't a task I'd take lightly. But first I need to find a replacement part, else it's not worth even thinking about.

I know it's a 10K dual gang six pin pot. I've found the part number in the service manual and totally exhausted Google and all the usual sources. There seems to be a few available in the USA but I'm in the UK. I either need the official Korg part, or a direct equivalent.

Anyone know where I can find one?

Cheers

Well I'm going to answer this question myself since the solution turned out to be blindingly obvious, and maybe there's someone out there who couldn't quite use Google either.

I requested the part directly from Korg UK. Here's the link.

The whole process took just under a week and the price was reasonable.

Just got to solder the damn thing in now!

Interesting. You could just order it at Korg UK!

Please provide the link. You missed it somehow.

Have fun repairing your board and enjoying it afterwards.
