I don't have the Prologue yet, but I have to ask the obvious* question(s)...
1) Is the 61 key worth the extra $500? (various sites list the Prologues at $1500 and $2000)
I know the 61 key comes with an extra octave of keys, 16 voices, several effects, and a Compression effect with cool-looking gauge. (And yes, I want the cool-looking gauge even though I'm not entirely sure what it's for)
2) Should I buy a second Minilogue instead, and do splits/layers that way?
I mean, in the demo videos the Prologue is the most amazing sounding thing I've ever heard. But so was the Minilogue, which is why I bought one and have been toying with the idea of buying a second one (or a Monologue) for some time.
Believe me I would love to show up to a live gig using nothing but an ANALOG synthesizer- made by Korg! (I've become something of a Korg loyalist in recent years) Which brings up two more questions:
3) Is it possible to do a decent Piano-ish sound on an analog synth? I've done OK Leslie organ and pretty convincing Harpsichord on the Minilogue, but can't seem to get even close to a piano sound. Would the Prologue's new effects help?
4) How much does the Prologue weigh?
This is very important for me, since I can't lug around a 40lb Korg Triton anymore (thanks to a back injury)
*Obvious in my world. Actually, these are the burning questions for me.

You won't get a good piano out of an analogue synth but you can get some nice bright piano-esque sounds great for cheesy* dance, heheh.

Perhaps too late to answer your questions now, but I would say yes to this. Of course depending on your taste and demands. But the Prologue has the digital multi engine which makes it very versatile. You can make bright, rich and clear FM-sounds with phase modulation.
