how to create a complex splitted combi

Post by magiclaas »

hi everybody,
i ve a simple questions but i m finding very difficult to create a new splitted combi in kronos importing in the slots of the new combi programs from database each one with his effects. (i use copy from program)

i use splitted combi in order to ease live performances and often i need
more than two zones on keyboard

my difficult is that i don t how to avoid that the effects of one program cover all the keyboard even out of the keyboard zone assaigned to their program and modifying the sound of the other programs of the splitted keyboard..
from manual or video tutorials i was not able to find a propely answer to my problems..
can anyone help me and tell me a step by step instruction about how to do?
thank you very much

If you use the "copy from program" from the drop down menu, DO NOT check the effects boxes. Then add effects later in Combi mode.

Any effect in the TFX slot will affect ALL within a combi. Do not use the TFX slot if you do not want that effect to apply to the whole combi. Go to the MFX/TFX to check this.

Look at the IFX Routing page and the Insert FX page to see which instruments are using IFX. An insert effect is not shared with any other sound unless it is specifically assigned that way on these pages.

The MFX are the Master FX, usually chorus or reverb, and many sounds can be assigned to use these FX as needed. Look again on the IFX routing page for the Send parameter. Set the Send amount to 0 if you do not want that sound to use the MFX.

If that instrument is not defaulted to L/R on the IFX Routing page, then the Send parameter will be grayed out on the Routing page and you cannot change the Send amount there.you must look on the Insert FX page and make sure the Send amount is 0 if you do not want that sound to use the Master FX assigned.

If this is your request:

"can anyone help me and tell me a step by step instruction about how to do?"

The best way to learn theses things is by trial and error. Save your work before experimenting so you can get back to a good place. There are some tips in previous posts that should help you get headed in the right direction. Step by step directions can be time consuming and if done improperly, more of a hindrance than a help.
