Stylus for the Kronos touchscreen...

Post by JOHN GARGANI »

thanks in advance....I notice in many of the video tutorials, they use a stylus pen.

Problem is, I have never used one before with either my IPhone, or my Pad, so I am not familiar with them and wonder if there are a specific type that you need to work properly with the Kronos screen?

The Kronos LCD is not like your iPad

A simple $4 stylus at your local office store will get the job done. Nothing fancy is needed.

Yes, as Greg says the soft rubber ball type don't work consistently. You need quite a small tip size, hard stylus.

I use my finger nail on my index finger. Stops me biting my nails down to the wick too.

Just a thought. It's probably best to try to avoid drag type movements across the screen if possible, as any grit that gets caught under the stylus, or whatever is used, will end up scratching the screen surface.

I use the wrong end of a 6mm crochet hook. It has a nice rounded end and works perfectly.

I use an iPad screen protector film on my K, and I poke and scratch and tap and drag everything on screen without the fear of damaging.

WiU Stylus are perfect! They sell packs of 4 or more on Amazon for a few dollars.

I bought these - they are absolutely perfect for the Kronos.

Hard pointy tip on one end, and a soft, round tip on the other end. The white one is perfect b/c you can find it easily when you put it down on the Kronos.

Not that I would buy it just for using it with the Kronos, but the Apple Pencil is comfortable to use on the Kronos screen. Plus, being white is easy to find over the panel (I usually put it just above the controller knobs).

This is what I'm using too. Apple did a nice job with getting the weight and balance right. Feels very nice, and super precise on the K's screen. But yeah, surely not worth the cost to use only as a Kronos stylus.

I just got done applying a screen protector film on mine too. For not a lot of money, why not. I don't notice anything different.

Is there some kind of cupping glass kind of thing to connect a stylus to the Kronos? I loose them all the time :-)
