Hi!
Is it possible to make a slow filter sweep like the Intro in 1984 (Van Halen) using the Korg Kross?
What are the limitations when trying to simulate 70's and 80's analog classics (Junos, Moogs, Prophets, etc.)?
Thanks,
Arnaldo

Thanks! Good to know but it is not that complex.Koekepan wrote:You don't say whether you're working live, or sequencing a saved track.
Live, you can assign your filter to a pedal, or the mod wheel.
If you're working in the sequencer, you should just add events for the appropriate modulation.
Just wondering if I could use an envelope for a slow filter sweep without much artifacts like zipping or steping. And even before that, if the filter itself is capable of a full range cutoff.
Does it have resonance BTW?
You should be able to link the envelope to an LFO, and I think that it interpolates well enough that there's not much in the way of stepping, depending on your configuration. The filters implemented in the Kross are capable of a very wide cutoff range, and they do have (configurable) resonance levels.
