Hello,
Is it possible to play back a song (a sequence) while changing combinations for playing along live with the song playback on the Kronos X?
If so, how? What do I need to know?
Thank you for reading this, and sharing your knowledge with me.

Can you change combinations while playing back a song file?

no. The Kronos can only operate 1 mode at a time.rremek wrote:Hello,

it sounds like you might need to have 1 big SONG with the 2 combis.
or maybe have 2 Songs, and pedal in 1 after another. I haven't done this in Seq mode.
that should work in set list but you need to load both Song files from DISK

So how do you load both songs into memory at the same time?GregC wrote:no. The Kronos can only operate 1 mode at a time.rremek wrote:Hello,

I asked here with the same problem (using combis + seq simultaneously).
There's several ways:
1) use seq, but you can seamless switch between midi channels in live mode. So hypothetically you can use up to 16 instruments per song (but this 16 include all possible switching, layering, dividing etc). Also you can switch program to another using program change automatization. But it's not so comfortably when programs have different velocity
2) use external sequenser like notebook + soundcard
I choosed second. If you can live with 16 timbres per song - try first method

Save the songs as 1 file name. When u later load the file the seq will show it as s 000 and sooo1Sonic Bodhi wrote:So how do you load both songs into memory at the same time?GregC wrote:no. The Kronos can only operate 1 mode at a time.rremek wrote:Hello,
