My Nektar Impact LX 49 has a USB to midi connection and no MIDI-IN/MIDI-OUT.
Will I be able to hook it up to the Kronos(or any other keyboard) to use as secondary keyboard??

Yes, it will work fine.
I had an LX88 connected to a Kronos2 61 via USB and it work great.
The Kronos USB of course even powered the Nektar.

Generally, if the MIDI controller is USB class compliant, it should work with the Kronos. This is why most of Novation's MIDI controllers, TEControl's breath controller, and even the Alesis wireless Vortex keytar are plug and play.
Interestingly, I just found out that the Roland A-800 pro will probably work directly with the Kronos. It has two USB modes:
1) Roland's FPT that is claimed to reduce latency (and for which you have to install drivers)
2) its basic USB mode, no drivers need. This mode is class compliant.

Yes, the Roland wil, as do other Roland controllers like the A-49 that can change mode. I don't bother with Roland's driver at all anymore. This ability mentioned in the sticky Kronos controllers and resources threads that list controllers that work though the update hadn't made it's way into the first summary post last I checked (which was a while ago).
