1=Does Kronos support Sample libraries consisting of wave files?? I am new to sampling and I want to know,If I sampled phrases of a choir in a DAW-as WAV, can I directly copy the to kronos SSD and assign it across various keys to create a choir section?
2=I have been doing some basic reading and I get that kronos has SF2 support. Will I have to convert wave samples I recorded as WAV SF2? or would WAV suffice?what is the advantage SF2 over WAV?
3=does KRonos support velocity layer crossfade using modwheel operation for sample libraries?

1. Yes
2. SF2 already has the mapping, so if you load an SF2 you usually don't have to set up mapping in the Kronos, it creates a program right away.
3. I'm not sure about this, perhaps there is a way using the AMS mixers? Maybe someone who has done this can chime in. You can use the VJS to fade between oscillators for sure, if that helps.

1 - Yes - you can load wav files (They must be 16bit however, anything more can't be read by the Kronos) however you may have to assign the keymaps and such to make it all come together.Nan Kin wrote:1=Does Kronos support Sample libraries consisting of wave files?? 2 - SF2 should have keymaps and such already assigned generally, where wave files need to be profiled within the Kronos
3 - I think so? You might need to provide more information... Generally yes you can do velocity layer crossfades. 8 layers worth. What about the modwheel though? How does that come into play? Do you want to have some layers fade in with velocities and when you push joy + or - it does something else? (Which can easily be done with combis)
Korg Kronos 88 2, Korg Kronos 73, Kurzweil K2600S

I thought of having three velocity layers sampled-1 AAhs at 2 velocities and an OOh
So that i can get two aahs by switching key intensity and oooh using cross fade.
