Help sequencing ES2 from daw
Hello, im trying to sequence my es2 from renoise, as an external gear (slave), but Part Mute doesnt seen to work when using the electribe like this. It is always sending audio when it is receiving midi data. the part stops playing only when i mute the midi track in renoise. i guess it works the same way with every daw but havent tried yet. does anyone have some experience with this kind of setup? part mute only works when it is sequeced within the es2? am i doing something wrong? thank you guys

yes! exactly. it would be nice if the electribe could send midi data when in part mute mode so it could work as a synth and also solo and mute the tracks in the daw. i mean, the daw would only expand the sequencing possibilities while all the work is being made inside the es2
but thank you for your replies, if anyone knows any workaround please share

Thre is a workaround, not sure if it will work for you or work in reason, but here goes anyway...
Go to [global] [trigger mode] and change to (seq 1st)
The pad buttons (in trigger mode) now play the first note of the sequence.
Now enter a note on the first step of the sequencer for each of the 16 parts.
I like to use the highest note available in the step edit menu (midi note - G9)
Now you can set your daw up to respond to midi note G9, midi ch x (1-16) and mute the appropriate channel.
Basically, hitting a pad in trigger mode should now act as a mute for the daw track that is sequencing that channel
It's been a long time since I messed with this so let me know if it works!
