Kronos Editor effects editing - am I missing something?

Post by edtherugmaninov »

Hi there!
Users of the Kronos editor software hopefully will be able to clear this up for me....

I have owned a Kronos for about a year now and have been getting to grips with programming some huge set lists for musical theatre shows. Iv now turned to the editor to use its copy/paste/reorder and this is a real time saver for me. I'm a little stumped that there seem to be a few things that the editor can't do though that are rather essential to setting up sounds. I can't seem to be able to find how to do the following with effects.... can anyone help with this?

Call up effect presets. (From with in MFX or IFX)
Copy effects from programs to combis (doesn't seem to be a menu on the editor to allow this)

If I try to do this on the board whilst the editor is running (synchronised) then saving the sound from the editor resets all the effect settings back to empty.

Am I missing something? Is the only way to apply effects using the keyboard?

Cheers!

Execute the Get Combination command in the Editor.

The Kronos editor in Midi Quest has tools to copy copy/paste effects from Programs to Combis or you can use the Kronos itself. As already stated, if using the Kronos, choose "Get Combi" in the editor to load the modified Combi into the software.
