Kaoss Mini 2S Sampling Questions

Post by SMK »

I am thinking of getting the new Kaoss Pad Mini 2s.

One thing I can not seem to find on youtube is how many samples the KP-mini 2S store? How many samples can you recall? How do you recall your samples when needed? Questions like that.

Can someone here talk more indepth about sampling with the Kaoss Pad Mini 2S?

Thanks!

I'm wondering the same. Is it similar to the audio player of the minikp2? Also, what is the percentage for pitch adjustment? I hope it is higher than 30%.

I got one a week ago and for the op, you can put as many samples on there as a 16gb card can hold. All the imported samples I have are arranged in folders with a simple scroll and click UI.

I have not found a mono setting so your best bet is to get a 3.5mm stereo to mono adapter.

As for my own question, it is 30% -/+ pitch, lol. It's actually good enough for feeding samples into the op-1.

I have the original minikp2 and having the sampler function is a pretty big plus since I can use this as my sample library with effects processing. What I don't like about it is it doesn't save 1-shot/gate/loop info, or even cue info... You must set it every time you play a new sound.

What about sampling into the MiniKP2s?

What is that process like? Is it a good live sampler? Is it easy to recall samples you record into the miniKP2s?

have you tried to change samples while the master recorder is engaged (recording) ?

Here is a piece of the manual
"When recording while playing back an MP3 file, skipping or operation delays may occur, and the recording may not be com- pleted correctly.”

Have you noticed anything ? I do want to change samples while recording...
Please let us know

I’m between second KPM2 or KPM2S

Thanks!
