Expression pedal reverse volume for one timbre

Post by richforman »

Wondering if there is a way to do this on my Kronos 2 that anyone can help me with. I'd like to set up my combi so that pushing the expression pedal will bring the volume of one timbre/part up, another one down. One of them is a CX3 patch, "EX Church V2," that's the one I want to swell normally, the other is an EXi synth patch, "Stradivarious Synth," that one I was wondering if could fade under with the same foot pedal move at the same time. thanks!

Yes, one way is to use an IFX, like the gain or compressor where you can set the AMS to the controller with a negative value (for reversed working/volume).

Also you can do it with Karma, but I don't know by head ... there is a thread about it somewhere in KorgForums.

Thanks for the response Michel. Going to work on this some more tonight, in the meantime don't suppose you'd have the time to write up a little step-by-step walkthrough of how to implement your suggestion? Either way, thanks very much!
