Taktile 49 & Cubase 7.5 Transport

I just setup my Tak49 yesterday and set the board to "Cubase", and of coarse the transport controls were not working. I followed the steps in the manual (poster) and am still not getting any transport response.
I plugged in my older Impluse and immediately the transport controls work.
I have found three different methods for setting this up online, with regard to a generic controller, but I didn't want to go through that process when I thought the Tak was supposed to work out of the box.

Make sure you follow it exactly as the guide says and that you have the DAW ports chosen as the in/out of Mackie control, not the CTRL ones. I have a Taktile 49 working well in Cubase 8.5 Pro using the Cubase Scene and following the steps in the small guide.

My only issue when moving a fader it selects the track which I do not want.
