Memory Lock Mod ?

Post by acobley »

Sometimes when playing the Volca series I like to switch patterns quickly, 2 or three times within one sequence. At the moment this involves holding the memory button with the finger of one hand and selecting the sequence with another finger. I’d really like to lock the memory button down, freeing up one finger.

There is probably two ways of doing this, a locking switch could be fitted across the current memory button, but I’ve not seen this mod done anywhere. Would it be easy ?

The second would be a firmware update, add some code so that if the button was held down for 1 second it latches on. A quick press would latch it off. This wouldn’t effect the current functionality. I wonder if Korg would do this. Shame the source code isn’t open source (but it’s understandable !)
