Volca FM Software Update

Post by totalcult »

New version of the Volca FM firmware released

Here's the link: http://www.korg.com/us/support/download ... /558/3012/
Change program save procedure. bug fix for FM synthesis. bug fix other.

How can I save my program to a different destination to the current one? After pushing SAVE, you can choose the destination by turning the PROGRAM knob. After choosing your destination, push SAVE again to execute the save process or push EDIT to exit without saving.

Cool! Korg is doing updates for the FM. :D

Now we just need another update. One where the MIDI IN interface becomes also sensitive to the velocity infomation of external keyboard strokes... Please?

Hello Volca people, first post on this forum for me but i've been posting on the Electribe forum for a while now.

I updated the Volca FM firmware last night and now whenever i change patterns with the sequencer running, i hear a noticeable click when the new pattern starts. This did not happen before the firmware update.

Anybody else notice this? Kinda makes the Pattern Chain feature a bit useless. Korg and their pattern changes once again...
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

You'd better submit a bug report to Korg then, while they are still making updates to the firmware, otherwise it'll stay like this forever..

- Same here :( (not with all patches but with most - and I haven't updated the firmware yet)

Hi, this is described in the update manual on page 2. Just press "Record" and power up your Volca FM to see your current version. The update manual is included in the update archive: http://www.korg.com/us/support/download ... /558/3012/
