Hello!
1)Make sure you have free space in your RAM (SOUND mode->RECORD->Last tab)
2)Exit from record menu and press MEDIA->LOAD tab->Select the .set you want to load the drums from.
3)Press OPEN and NOT load all.
4)OPEN the SOUNDS folder
5)OPEN userdk.pcg
6)Select the desired drumkit and load it in a free position of your choise.
It will load its samples into RAM too!

Thanks Musiccankill
The problem is resolved.
The problem happened because the files were not well descompressed by my friend, and the folder did not appears in .set format in the korg.
Thanks once again... :)

Hi forum, I have the same issue, I have 2 sounds based on external samples that I want to load. one is a drum kit, the second a bass. When I go in LOAD and open the folders up to Sound, I select the sound and after few seconds a message says "this is not a PA file".

Both worked on a PA900 of a friend of mine, is it possible that they are not good for my pa2x? could it be a compression issue?

Thanks, Simone

Pa900 do not support compression , so those resources are not compressed but they were made
with a newer arranger than Pa2X and according to equation , not compatible with your arranger !

Thanks Anthony. Do you know if it is possible to adapt the samples for my arranger? Basically what I need is a good bass sample and a drum kit more "incisive or present" than the factory ones. At the same time not too big ( I have about 80 mega available) and cheap.... I had those for free....

You can load the sounds you want on a pa900/3xle/3x/4x and go to sound-> record -> menu -> multisamples -> find the multisample you want -> arrow in the upper right corner -> export and save it a kmp file that can be loaded in every pa! this can be done only for instruments like the bass and not drumkits.for drumkits you have to export the samples one by one and import them again one by one on the machine you have. You can do all these with pa manager too without even having a newer arranger nearby.
in any case you will need to make the sound/drumkit by hand as kmp export, exports only the samples and not the sound configuration..!
